Cameron Diaz shares her views on marriage in a pair of interviews in the May issues of Maxim and ELLE magazines.
Maxim asked her if she felt that marriage was a dying institution and she shared: “I do. I think we have to make our own rules. I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”
And she then tells British ELLE that she enjoys the ease of breaking up versus having to divorce: “I think a lot of people are married to people they’re not romantic with any more. I just didn’t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on.”
Her thoughts on what makes a successful relationship: “Guys need women who challenge them and don’t let them get away with their sh–. Women, conversely, need to not be crazy b*****s who blow up when their guys tell them something that scares them.”
