Jodie Turner-Smith opened up about her co-parenting experience with her former husband, Joshua Jackson, in an interview with GLAMOUR. She said there is no “manual” given to them about co-parenting and that “everyone’s trying to figure it out.” She explained, “It’s an adjustment period for anyone when they split up with someone because you’re used to being with your child all the time.”
Turner-Smith further shared the complications of having different lifestyles while co-parenting. She explained, “Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to coparent.”
During the interview, Jodie Turner-Smith also gushed about being a mother to her 4-year-old little girl, Juno Rose Diana. While describing motherhood, she said it is the “most crazy, beautiful, thankless, emotional job in the whole wide world.”
The “Queen & Slim” actor also talked about the importance of having freedom and power. She advised, “Get your money right, because at the end of the day, it allows you the independence that you need to not be controlled.” The actor further emphasized that independence does not come free of cost, it requires money, which she believes is power.
Jodie Turner-Smith tied the knot with Joshua Jackson in 2019. The former couple welcomed their daughter the following April. However, they separated in 2023 after four years of marriage.
