Fairly new to motherhood, Kaley Cuoco talked about parenting her daughter, Matilda, whom she shares with her fiancé, Tom Pelphrey. Cuoco appeared on Monday’s episode of Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager’s chat show, “Today With Hoda & Jenna.” She claimed welcoming Matilda “kinda changed our family in a way,” bringing everyone very close. The actor further affirmed how babies “ice break everything.”
Kaley Cuoco reveals daughter Matilda is the “glue” to the family
Kaley Cuoco revealed that Matilda, whom she welcomed in March 2023 with Tom Pelphrey, kept their family glued together. She told hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that her baby girl is “like that glue” and that she brought everyone in their family closer. Cuoco also agreed with Hager when she pointed out how babies cause them to “end up liking other people in your family.” The mother of one joked that she could also use her baby as an excuse to escape situations. “And there’s a reason for everything, ‘Gotta go, got the baby,'” she stated as an instance.
Before that, the actor ecstatically detailed her experience as her “cute” daughter’s mother. “She’s a comedian, so we’re in trouble,” she joked adorably before claiming her little one is also “hysterical.” Soon after, the segment started a slideshow display of Cuoco with her girl’s photos from her first visit to the set. She also noted how motherhood and the baby have “burst” her heart open, calling it an “amazing” experience of life.
More recently, Kaley Cuoco spoke more on parenting her daughter, Matilda, on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” She recalled telling a couple’s therapist that “taking care of a 19-month-old is like taking care of your drunk best friend every day.” Cuoco then explained that they cry when they don’t get what they want and how another part of the task entailed making sure they “make it to the bathroom,” “cleaning their throw up,” and ensuring “they don’t die all day long.”
