Baby Baths 101: Everything You Need to Bathe Your New Baby

Since bath time can vary from rocky in the early days to the most fun time of day later on, the key is great bath products. Here is a handy list of some of my favorite infant bathing basics: it's everyhing you need to bathe your new baby and make bath time safe and fun for everyone.

Hooded Shark Towel

What's cuter than a hooded towel for a baby? Bonus points for a shark baby towel like this one.
Mustela Newborn Bath Set

I used these products with my first baby and loved how gentle they were. And they smell so good too.
Wash Cloths

You need lots of wash cloths, but there's no need for expensive ones. I love this set from Ikea (you get 10 for under $4!)
Bath Mat

Speaking of Ikea, it's also my source for a great bath mat. It's affordable and durable.
Puj Elephant Bath Spout Cover

A spout cover is a must for safe baths, but a few out there get moldy on the inside. This one from Puj is great.
Puj Tub

Another great item from Puj is their infant tub. It fits in any sink and hangs to dry, making it perfect for small spaces and infant baths.
Skip Hop Bath Caddy

Store baby's toys and other items in this mesh bath caddy. Unlike the hard options, this one doesn't mold and is lighter to hang than others. (I have it and love it.)
Zoe Organics Baby Bath Tea

I haven't tried this yet but have heard such great things about the Zoe Organics Baby Bath Tea and can't wait to use it with baby number two coming soon.
Skip Hop Bath Dunk Cups

These ducky dunk cups are great for rinsing baby's head and for play later as well.
