Photos: 8 Celebrities Who Joined The Short Hair Trend With Pixie Cuts

Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway and more have been spotted rocking a cropped hair style recently.

Whether it was for a movie role, motherhood or just for fun, these celebrities embraced the growing trend of short hair in Hollywood! Take a look at the before and after photos in the gallery below!

Miley Cyrus just said “No” to hair extensions and chopped off her long locks. “I hated the extensions — hair that’s sewn into your head. It’s creepy.  You will never see me with long hair again!”

Michelle Williams has been rocking the short hairstyle for years and even though she is now trying to grow it out, she explained why she kept it short for so long.  “I’ve really grown into it — I feel like myself with short hair. And it’s been a really long time since I had long hair, five years. I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair (Heath Ledger) and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it.”

Charlize Theron shaved off her gorgeous locks for her latest film role and highly recommends the experience. At the Golden Globes she said, ‘It’s the most freeing thing, I highly recommend it. I think every woman should do it.’

Actress Anne Hathaway buzzed her hair for the film “Les Miserables” and it was well worth it as the role earned her an Oscar!

With hair that used to reach the middle of her back, Elsa Pataky chopped every inch of it off a few months after giving birth to her daughter India (with Chris Hemsworth) last year and went with a whole new color, to boot.

Kellie Pickler shaved off her blonde hair to show support for her childhood friend with breast cancer.  It’s growing back out now, so we’ll have to wait and see if she goes back to the medium length it used to be.

Maggie Gyllenhaal took the pixie plunge last month, going from a shoulder length bob to this sassy number.

Calista Flockhart showed off her super short and sweet cut last night at the premiere of Harrison Ford’s new film “42”.
