Naomi Watts has many memorable roles under her belt and still loves to act, but feels most fulfilled with her sons, Alexander and Samuel, and her partner Liev Schreiber.
Naomi shares that her career is still important, but her family takes first place. ”I still feel very ambitious and you always want to find the next great project. But it’s a very different feeling now than when I was struggling to get parts. Now I have a wonderful man and children to come home to, and waking up in the morning with my family is one of the greatest joys you can ever have in life.”
Naomi’s currently filming “St. Vincent de Van Nuys”, playing a pregnant prostitute and working alongside Melissa McCarthy, Bill Murray and more. Before that project, she completed another project, taking on ambitious role: the late Princess Diana. She says it was a stressful job, “‘I was dreading the reaction among the public to my playing her. You know that people will complain that you don’t look enough like her, that you’re not tall enough, all those things. It’s very difficult to play someone who had such a deep impact and left such a lasting memory on the public. It’s also more complicated and sensitive when you take into account her two boys. But I want to do her justice and help her story truthfully.”
The public is still very enamored with the royal family, as evidenced by the frenzy surrounding the birth of the royal baby, so I have a feeling this movie is going to do well. “Diana” is due to be released on September 20th in the UK.
