Grammy-winning rapper Macklemore took to social media this past weekend to announce some happy news to his fans, reports People: He and fiancee Tricia Davis are expecting their first child together!
The rapper, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, tweeted a sweet video showing the couple at an ultrasound visit and revealing that the due date is this May, saying “We want to share the news with you ourselves…love, Ben and Tricia.”
The video announcement was edited by Macklemore’s musical partner Ryan Lewis.
During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” show back in January 2013, the newly-engaged rapper said that his fiancee had been there for him through every step in his career, even the times they were printing small quantities of T-shirts to sell at appearances where the audience was tiny, sometimes only a dozen fans.
Tricia produces Macklemore’s videos and also serves as manager for the tours. The couple dated for seven years before becoming engaged two years ago.
