Gypsy-Rose Blanchard embraced motherhood to kick off 2025 in the best way after welcoming a baby girl with Ken Urker. On January 1, Urker, her boyfriend, broke the news via a social media post with a photo of their small family of three.
A few weeks later, on January 15, Blanchard shared a new update on her since-deleted Instagram Stories, as per PEOPLE. In the post, she documented a glimpse of her journey as a new mom with the photo of a book titled “What to Expect the First Year.”
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is ‘leaning into motherhood’ after welcoming baby with Ken Urker
In one of her first updates since welcoming her baby girl, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard shared a little snippet of her journey as a new mom in the new year. PEOPLE revealed that Blanchard shared a photo of the “What To Expect The First Year” book, which she is likely using while navigating her life as a mother. Over the snap, she wrote, “Leaning into motherhood in 2025” with a baby emoji. The cover of the book noted that it is from one of “America’s Bestselling Parenting Series.”
On the first day of the year, Urker shared the news about their daughter in an adorable hospital photo on Instagram. In the still, Blanchard appeared to be lying on the hospital bed moments after giving birth. She was holding the baby, whom they named Aurora, close to her chest while her boyfriend stood beside them, leaning slightly over to place his hand on the infant. The two looked at Aurora, wearing the cutest little pink hat, with affection. In the caption, he wrote, “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all.”
In the months before welcoming the baby girl, both Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker shared countless updates on social media. These since-deleted posts captured Blanchard’s growing belly and other updates such as ultrasound images.
Blanchard is a former inmate who served nearly eight years in prison for her role in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s murder. She was released from prison on parole in December 2023 and has since made several public appearances including in the documentary series, “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.” The mom of one remains on parole.
