Halle Berry’s Respin Health is ‘powered by community’
On Tuesday, Halle Berry appeared on the “TODAY” show to announce the launch of her new company, Respin Health. The actor revealed that the platform is “powered by community” and “backed by science.” Berry has been working towards breaking the stigma and shame surrounding menopause, and the new initiative does so in more ways than one.
Berry further revealed that the company caters to women in mid-life. The health advocate noted that the platform featured esteemed doctors and scientists worldwide so women could get the optimum healthcare. While speaking to the host, the actor confessed that the initiative would also help women learn how to be their best selves after turning 40.
Speaking about menopause as a movement, Berry reflected on the criticism she received over associating herself with the cause. The actor noted it only pushed her to start talking openly about it. She further said, “There’s nothing wrong with me being in my mid-life. There’s nothing wrong with being 58. You’ve got to stop telling me there’s something wrong with me, and I’m gonna prove to you that it’s not.”
Berry urged women to work together to “respin” the stereotypical notions around menopause. She called Respin Health the first of its kind, advising women to give the platform a try. Berry further hoped that women would “lean into your health” and understand their bodies better. She realized that when women start educating themselves, they can “make decisions from a place of power.” Berry said, “It’s not time to sit down, it’s time to reinvent. It’s time to have a beautiful, glorious second act. We just need to know how.”
The actor has been advocating for the cause since 2024. She stood alongside the U.S. Senators at the Capitol to introduce the Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act. It helps advance funding and research of menopausal care.
