On March 2, Kieran Culkin won his first Academy Award, reminding his wife Jazz Charton during his speech about her promise to give him four kids if he brought home an Oscar. He recollected a previous awards ceremony that led to this promise, jokingly noting that it was time they got “cracking on those kids.”
Kieran Culkin says wife owes him four kids in Oscars speech
Kieran Culkin wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to plead to his wife to start trying for more kids, and he did just that during his fun Oscars speech. He reminded Jazz Charton about her promise from the Emmy Awards 2023 when she jokingly stated that she would give him a third kid if he won. The actor did win the award and clarified to his spouse that, in truth, he would like four kids.
He began his Oscars 2025 acceptance speech by expressing his immense love for his wife, noting, “I have to thank my wife Jazz for absolutely everything, for giving me my favorite people in the world.” Culkin then went on to recollect the funny incident that led to the promise. The actor was quick to jokingly note that Charton indeed said that she would give him a third kid because she didn’t expect he would win.
After his Emmy acceptance speech, it took some time for his wife to wrap her head around what had transpired. When she told him that she does indeed owe him a third kid thanks to his win, Culkin expressed his wish for four little ones. To which she replied, “I will give you four when you win an Oscar.”
Kieran Culkin ended his super fun Oscars Speech by telling his wife, Jazz Charton, that there was “no pressure,” but they should seriously “get cracking on those kids.” He also apologized to her for pulling this stunt again, after having done the same thing back in 2023, when he won his first Emmy for his role in “Succession.”
