9 Celebrity Moms Who Treat Their Pets Like Children

Life is good if you’re a celeb’s pet — especially if you belong to one of these stars!

Nicole Richie
The star of “Candidly Nicole” has her hands full with her kids, Harlow and Sparrow. So when it came time to bring home a dog, Richie was clear that the responsibility was husband Joel Madden’s. “I actually told Joel I don’t want to pick up after anything ever again,” she told Ellen on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “I’ve got my kids, so I’m going to let you do that. It’s his dog, but I like to, you know, snuggle. I like to hug him and kiss him.” From the looks of the couple’s German shepherd, shown here, Joel’s doing an excellent job.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum
Long before Dewan and husband Channing Tatum welcomed daughter Everly into the world, the actress felt completely prepared for motherhood. That’s because she considers her dogs her children. “I consider my dogs real-life people stuck in a dog’s body,” she once told People. “They are my kids…If I can love my actual kids as much as my dogs, we’re golden.” Looks like they are.

Miranda Kerr
When it comes to shared custody, the Australian beauty has it down. She shares custody of son Flynn with ex-husband Orlando Bloom. And she shares custody of her Yorkshire Terrier Frankie with make-up artist and friend Rose-Marie Swift. How civilized.
