Doubly exciting news for superstar George Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney: They’re expecting twins!
While the couple have remained quiet until now, The Talk confirmed Thursday that the Clooney’s are expecting twins in June 2017. Kudos to the mama-to-be for hiding that bump and rockin’ the loose fitting dresses for over half her pregnancy! (The photo above, was taken in January…and we would have never guessed that she was four-months-pregnant with twins back then.)
Ever since their lavish Venice wedding in 2014, whether the couple would start a family has been a popular topic of debate. “I mean, I’ve thought about it,” George told CBS This Morning’s Charlie Rose. “I’ve been asked about it a lot lately because I’ve gotten married and I’m doing a movie with kids in it.” Although 55-year-old George may have seemed coy on the subject, 39-year-old Amal seems to be glowing.
What else do we know? Matt Damon, a close friend of George’s, has apparently known about Amal’s pregnancy for a couple months.
“I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying,” Damon told The Today Show’s Natalie Morales “I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘how far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘eight weeks.’” Damon immediately asked George if he knew about the 12-week rule. “Like of course he doesn’t. I was like, ‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’” To which Clooney gave the all clear: “‘We’re good.’”
