Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is based on the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book, Matilda. Matilda is a bright, gifted young girl who attends a school with a nasty principal, Ms. Trunchbull. Matilda also lives with parents that neglect and bully her. Young children may find these characters scary and intimidating. Matilda has a kindhearted teacher, Ms Honey and librarian Mrs. Phelps who both notice the girl’s extraordinary gifts. This film is filled with fun musical numbers and a positive message that most families can enjoy.
