Best Movies To Watch With Your Friends

If you are celebrating Valentine’s Day with your friends or simply having a pajama party at home with your girlfriends, movies are a must-have for the occasion. Whether it be horror movies, rom-coms, comedies, or action movies, watching films is the perfect way to spend quality time together.

You can have a full-on movie marathon or watch one to two movies, amongst other activities, to entertain your friends. If you are wondering which movies would be the best pick to watch with your friends, we have listed some that would be perfect when you have friends over.

1. Bridesmaids

If one of your girls is about to get married and you are the maid of honor, this movie should be your first pick to learn a trick or two about your duties. The film takes a hilarious turn when Annie Walker’s best friend, Lillian, gets engaged and asks her to be the maid of honor. Annie must fulfill her duties and deal with her unsatisfying relationship and conflict with Helen, another bridesmaid. This movie will leave you and your girlfriend laughing till the end.

2. Sex and the City

You can’t miss this movie and its sequels. We bet certain moments in the film will resonate with you and your friends. The story revolves around four best friends who stand by each other through thick and thin, push each other to take risks, and even fight with each other (as we all do). However, despite the differences, they all come together due to their beautiful, unbreakable bond.

3. Friends with Benefits

When a New York-based headhunter and an art director strike up a friendship, they decide to keep their fling casual with no emotional attachments and no tag on their relationship. However, soon things go downhill when they realize getting physical does always lead to complications.

4. Jaws

If you and your friends are up for a thriller movie, watch this 1975 film directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie is based on the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley. When a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Cape Cod, a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer take it upon themselves to hunt the beast down. Do they succeed in finding and dealing with the deadly shark? Watch it with your friends to find the answer.

5. The Others

Grace (played by Nicole Kidman) moves into a new house in Jersey with her two young children. However, when inexplicable events occur at their new home, she is convinced that her house is haunted. How she saves her kids from the haunted mansion and finds the truth behind it all forms the rest of the story. This is a horror movie, so make sure to keep your friends close while watching this film.

6. Mona Lisa Smile

If you want to watch a movie with powerful performances, watch this movie set in the 1950s. With Julia Roberts in the lead and Julia Stiles, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Ginnifer Goodwin as the rest of the cast members, you will love this women-centric movie that questions and disregards the outdated societal norms set for women.

7. Bruce Almighty

Be ready for a ride full of laughter (with some tears in between) with Morgan Freeman, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston, and Philip Baker Hall in “Bruce Almighty.” Bruce is a famous TV reporter. However, he is dissatisfied with his life. He holds God accountable for his issues. But soon, God gives Bruce divine powers to run the world. Does Bruce do a better job than God, or does he learn his lesson? Watch the movie with your friends to find out.

Apart from this, you can watch “Mean Girls,” “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” “Pitch Perfect,” and “Friends With Money” for your movie marathon. In the comment section below, do share with us which movies you watched with your friends and which you liked the most.
