Coco
Miguel’s favorite things in life are his dog and his guitar, but how can he become a great musician in a family that has banned music? Maybe his ancestors can help, and he’ll find them on a breathtaking adventure into the Land of the Dead. The fantasy story is based on Mexican Dia de los Muertos traditions and features wildly creative Pixar animation. Make sure you don’t skip the previews, because Coco viewers will get a first look at Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, an original short that should help us stay cool until the Frozen sequel is released in 2019. Release date: November 22, 2017

A Wrinkle in Time
The brilliant Madeleine L’Engle sci-fi fantasy novel from our childhoods is finally becoming a major motion picture, and we are talking really major. Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah — yes, Oprah! — will play Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, the supernatural beings who guide young Meg Murray on a dangerous journey to another dimension to find her father and save her brother. Release date: March 9, 2018

The Incredibles 2
The superhero family is back with a girl-power twist: Mr. Incredible is now a stay-at-home dad in charge of Jack-Jack while supermom Elastigirl is out saving the world. Can’t wait till next year’s incredible premiere? Check out the hilarious teaser featuring Heidi Klum, Kendall Jenner, Rachel Zoe, and other fashionistas singing the praises of legendary costume designer Edna Mode, who outfits The Incredibles. Christopher Robin
Winnie the Pooh’s human BFF is now a grown-up husband and father (played by Ewan McGregor) who has lost his imagination. Will a journey into the Hundred Acre Wood to reunite with a live action Pooh help him find it? Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Brad Garrett will provide the voice of perpetually bummed out donkey Eeyore, which sounds about right. Release date: August 3, 2018

The Nutcracker and The Four Realms
The beloved Christmas-time ballet is getting the Disney live action treatment, with Keira Knightly starring as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Morgan Freeman as the mysterious Drosselmeyer. Although this reimagining will focus more on the fantasy adventure story than on dancing, prima ballerina Misty Copeland is slated to perform a major ballet number in the film.
