New Rugrats Season 2 Trailer Promises ‘Giant’ Adventures and Surprises in Paramount+ Series

Rugrats fans, rejoice! Another installment of the popular kids’ show is on its way. A new trailer for Rugrats Season 2, the Paramount+ reboot, promises even more exciting adventures with the ragtag pack of childhood friends that families have come to know and love.

Rugrats Season 2 Trailer Drops

Rugrats features a hilarious and no-holds-barred cast of toddlers, including group leader Tommy Pickles (EG Daily), his nervous buddy Chuckie (Nancy Cartwright), the assertive schemer Angelica (Cheryl Chase), her BFF “Susie” Carmichael (Cree Summer), and twins Phil and Lil (Kath Soucie). In the new trailer, the troublesome tots embark on all sorts of exciting excursions, from taking a spaceship to an alien-occupied planet to sailing the high seas to wandering through ancient tombs.

But then reality hits: Tommy’s mother Didi (Ashley Rae Spillers) announces she is pregnant, and soon little brother Dil (Tara Strong) arrives. (Dil Pickles. See what they did there?) We don’t know how Tommy is going to handle the new sibling, but one thing’s for sure: viewers are in for a wild ride!

Season 2 includes some notable guest stars, like Yvette Nicole Brown as an Old West tour guide named Miss Mellie. Angelica’s glamorous but stern grandmother Judith (voiced by Wendie Malick) also makes an appearance, as does Angelica’s robotic caretaker named Nanny Pip (Sarah Niles). Finally, Trish (Alia Shawkat) arrives on the scene as the girlfriend of Phil and Lil’s mom, Betty.

Rugrats Delights a New Generation of Fans

For those new to the series, Rugrats originally premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991. The show became beloved by both kids and adults for its bold, innovative animation and hilarious humor. The series spanned 172 episodes over nine seasons, concluding in 2004. The characters’ stories were spun off into three movies: The Rugrats Movie (1998), Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (2000), and Rugrats Go Wild (2003). The brand also expanded into video games and (of course) a plethora of merch. The series spawned countless memes, references, and parodies that are still referenced today.

Now, with the Paramount+ reboot, Rugrats is delighting a whole new generation of fans. Season 2 will feature 13 episodes, all of which drop of Paramount+ on April 14.
