Fall is a time for warm treats—pumpkin pie, apple cider, pecan tarts, etc. But it’s still pretty warm here in Southern California where I live, and I’m not quite ready to give up summer just yet! This yummy fall dessert is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall. It was inspired by a new snack being offered at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California especially for fall season—the Caramel Apple Smoothie!
My version uses almond milk instead of ice cream so it’s a little bit healthier than the real deal…which is good, because you’re going to want to drink this every day once you try it! If you’re going for a richer dessert, you can use real whole milk or vanilla ice cream in place of the almond milk. Just a dollop of caramel gives the smoothie plenty of sweetness, but you can add as much or as little as you like. (Personally I ALWAYS like a little extra caramel drizzle.) I hope you enjoy it!
