Through her struggles, Panettiere has been refreshingly vocal about her postpartum depression, reflecting honestly about something that so many women go through. Though we can only imagine how hard it must have been to admit to the public (and herself) that she still needs help, it’s important to realize that postpartum depression is not easily cured, and affects up to 20 percent of women who give birth each year.
We applaud Panettiere for her brave fight against postpartum depression, and hope that she gets the help that she needs.
