Chrissy Teigen’s late son, Jack, is being honored in the most beautiful way by his grandmother, Pepper Teigen.
In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, Vilailuck “Pepper” Teigen shared that she is dedicating her forthcoming cookbook, titled “The Pepper Thai Cookbook” to Jack, who died in September 2020 after Chrissy gave birth five months early.
“We talk about him every day,” Pepper Teigen told WSJ. Magazine. “Luna talks about him every day, and that’s how we grieve.” “We’re getting better each day… We’re getting so much better and Chrissy too.”
Shortly after Chrissy Teigen shared that she had lost her third baby, the doting grandmother posted photos and a video of her saying an emotional goodbye to baby Jack. “My heart aches love you so much baby Jack,” she wrote at the time.
And in February, The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl took to her Instagram story and shared a heartbreaking post on what would have been Jack’s due date.
“Today was your due date. we love you forever,” Chrissy wrote, adding a purple heart emoji. The accompanying photo showed her wrist with a beaded bracelet with Jack’s name spelled out, as well as two bracelets above it with Luna and Miles’ names on them.
Chrissy, who has produced two cookbooks of her own, was a big reason Pepper wanted to write down many Thai recipes that had been in her head for years for her new cookbook.
“(Chrissy) put a lot of trust in me and told me that I was the best cook and that I need to write these recipes down,” she told WSJ. Magazine. “And I’m so glad she did. So now I have a book and something that I can pass down to her, Luna and Miles.”
The Pepper Thai Cookbook: Family Recipes from Everyone’s Favorite Thai Mom comes out April 13.
