Revlon BB Cream Product Review

Product Review: Christina Tries Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector

Of course, I like to look and feel pretty, I just don’t like to commit a lot of time to it.

Any beauty regimen of mine must be simple and effective. If I can find a multi-purpose product, I’m all over it, which is exactly why I was psyched to learn about BB cream one day when I was watching an episode of Dr. Oz (love him!). I had never heard of it before but once I did, I was intrigued. If you are not familiar with BB Cream, let me fill you in: it’s basically a hybrid of tinted moisturizer and foundation that smoothes and evens skin tone; plus, Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector has the added benefits of SPF 30 (which is awesome because I am terribly guilty of always forgetting sunscreen). This BB cream retails for $10.99 in most drugstores and it comes in three shades: light, light-medium, and medium. I chose medium because it’s summer and my typically pale skin actually has some color right now—the  shade turned out to be a perfect match for me. The texture was light but not too light and it offered just the right amount of coverage; I found it a little thicker than most tinted moisturizers but not as heavy as a foundation. I have acne prone skin with some pretty serious scarring so I don’t enjoy heavy, mask-like foundations that settle into my imperfections and fine lines. The other thing I love about this BB cream is that even though it’s light, it hydrates really well and manages to cover like a foundation and blurs flaws like a concealer.

Since I discovered Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector, I literally have no excuse not to look pretty and take care of myself. BB cream really is a busy mama’s dream come true and the Revlon product is worth its weight in gold. I actually keep it in my diaper bag along with some lipgloss and mascara. I love that with three products, I can go from drab to fab and all in under 5 minutes.
