As a mum, hopefully you’re getting a bit of sleep these days. While in a former life I’ve been blessed with daytime hours to spend on my beauty routine, the arrival of my daughter wiped those hours off the map.
I’ve tried and researched several clever overnight products that mimic the effects of exfoliators, masks, and anti-aging treatments usually reserved for those with idle time on their hands. So if you don’t have time to sleep yourself beautiful, maybe one of these rest-replenishing beauty products will do the trick.
Here are 6 of my favorite beauty products to apply in your sleep that’ll cure the most common skin problems mums face:

For Dryness
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery (£36.00 via Space NK) is like a big drink of water for your skin, hydrating and smoothing out a tight and sensitized complexion.
-
For Tired Skin
At my most tired I looked gray and puffy all day long. Dr Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturiser (£57.00 via Perricone) seemed to plump up skin and smooth it out---it felt soft rather than that slightly clammy, flaky feel I’d often been waking up with. It has alpha lipoic acid to gently exfoliate the skin, but also a ton of DMAE to tone and firm. I honestly wake up feeling like I snuck in a facial overnight.
-
For Dull Skin
Alpha H Liquid Gold (£33.50 via Cult Beauty) is a little stronger---it contains glycolic acid to lift dead cells (and the resulting dullness) but also to refine lines, wrinkles, and pores if those are your concerns. You then cleanse it all away in the morning et voila---smoother, silkier skin.
-
For Spots
If you suffer from acne or hormonal break-outs, Ren Clearcalm 3 Replenishing Night Serum (£23.00 via Marks and Spencer) is the answer. It gently helps the skin repair rather than stripping it of its natural and essential oils, only for it to produce more. I used this throughout my pregnancy---it’s free from any nasty chemicals---and continue to do so. It calms redness, reduces swelling, and smells like a spa treatment---winner.

For Dullness
Apply James Read Sleep Mask Tan (£26.00 via QVC) and you’ll wake up with a real glow. It’s more sun-kissed than ORANGE, a really natural warmth that will disguise months of disrupted sleep.

For Wrinkles
Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial (£39.60 via QVC) is the ultimate anti-aging cocktail to enjoy before bed. Combining antioxidants, vitamins, anti-inflammatory omega oils, firming Dermaxyl™ peptide, and jasmine and rose to nourish, it’s tackling every sign that time marches on across your face.
