4 Spring 2015 Shoe Trends You’ll Love

My shoes never let me down. Even on days when my jeans are feeling a bit tight and I vow to stop eating quite so many cakes, my shoes still look amazing. So, it would be rude not to splash out on some new shoes for spring and summer. There are loads of fabulous styles out there right now. Tu at Sainsbury’s ticks off lots of the key trends that were highlighted on the runways for spring. The only question is… how many pairs will I buy?

If you’re planning on hitting the stores like I am, here are the trends to watch out for:

1. Pointed-toe flats

Seen on the Armani and Michael Kors catwalks, these shoes are as practical as they are ladylike. Pointed-toe flats pair beautifully with skirts or dresses for work. Wear them with rolled up skinny jeans for a laid-back weekend look.

2. Mules

Channel your inner ’90s gal — no, not by listening to Take That on a loop, but by slipping on a pair of mules. Both Alexander Wang and Donna Karan showed mules on the runway, and anything that’s a bit Cher from Clueless is a winner with me.

3. Platforms

You’ve probably noticed that the ’70s are back in a big way (*whispers* some people have even swapped their faithful skinny jeans for flares), which means that platforms are in. The chunkier, the better!

4. Loafers

Brogues, loafers, tassels — you name it, we’re wearing it this spring. Shoes that were once only seen on your dad, teamed with baggy jeans and a golf jumper, are now on your lust list for spring. And they look awesome with a pretty dress. How did that happen? Hey, I’m not going to pretend fashion makes sense…

What’s your favourite spring shoe trend?
