Today, Thursday, Munchkin Inc. reported that they are voluntarily recalling about 4,200 Munchkin Bathtub Sub toys because of possible genital injury.
What does this mean for you?
The recall is due to a valve on the bottom of the toy sub, which can suck up loose skin causing cuts and abrasions. While the toy looks sweet and happy with its bright yellow color and smile, two reports have been filed with Health Canada of little boys suffering injuries to their genital region and 19 similar complaints have been received by the company.
What should you do if you have Munchkin Bathtub Sub?
- Check the package of the toy to see if it contains the following numbers: UPC 7-35282-10643-9 Serial number MCKGF-3159 Item Number 10643
- If it does, or you do not have the packaging anymore please stop using the toy and contact the Munchkin Inc Hotline at 1-877-242-3143
- Most importantly never leave your child unattended in the bathtub
