Romance On A Budget For Her

Valentines Day-Romance On A Budget For Her

You can argue that Valentines Day is a Hallmark holiday all you want. Truthfully though, it never hurts to turn up the romance any day of the year! If you are on a budget this year, but still want to have a romantic Valentines Day, no fear! You can romance on a budget, you just have to be a bit more creative. Be honest, you know you could step up your game here!

Budget Friendly Valentines Day For Her:

Don't worry about roses or expensive jewelry. Think bigger. Anyone can call the florist and order a dozen roses and some balloons. It takes less then 10 minutes out of your day, what's so special about that? This is the woman you love, you need to actually spend some time and energy on her gift! Some ideas that might turn her head:

  • Print out some pictures of trips and fun times that you've had and put them in a scrapbook for her. No need to get fancy! In fact, you can make a digital scrapbook online through pretty much any photo processing site. Pretty much all of them run specials this time of year (Snapfish, Walgreens, SeeHere, etc). Put some thought into what you write in the book and don't just slap the pictures up haphazardly.

  • Write her some love notes telling her how you feel about her. Tell her things she's done that really meant something special to you. Thank her for the little things she does. Show her that you do notice everything about her even if you don't usually say it. Don't be short, don't be brief, now is the time to get in touch with your inner Romeo! The best part about this? You don't have to spend a dime.

  • Create a romantic evening just for the two of you. Get a babysitter if necessary (if you can't get a sitter for Valentine's Day, just plan it the day before or after) or wait until the kids are in bed. Rent a movie you know she loves and cook her dinner. Let her put her feet up and wait on her hand and foot!

  • Got kids? Include them! In addition (yes, you still need to give a gift just from you) to your gift, make something special to mom from the kids. It might be as complex as sneaking them out to take some professional pictures and surprising her with them. There are a lot of places where you can get 1 8×10 for less then $20. Picture People, Portrait Innovations, Sears and JCPenney all have promotions around this time of year, do your research. It could be as simple as helping them color some construction paper cards. Bonus points if she is totally surprised when she opens the cards.
