Dress Up Your Desk: 2012 Desk Calendars

No matter what your interests, there are options a-plenty. Choose one to fit your mood or your aesthetic and your desk will thank you for it. Here are a few of my favorites that would look picture perfect on any desk.

Sugarcube Press (shown at top, $21 at Tilde)
The coaster calendar from Sugarcube Press comes with a small metal stand, the better to show off the letterpress designs. While each month is perfectly sized to serve as a coaster, you might be more interested in creatively framing your favorites for easy DIY wall art.

Snow & Graham ($18)
My first ever desk calendar love was a little number from Snow & Graham which showcased their clean contemporary artwork. The calendar came in a jewel case which doubled as a display stand and each month featured one of their signature motifs. Every year they have been updating the graphics and this year, I’m partial to the flurry of falling ginko leaves that decorate October!

Egg Press ($16)
This desk calendar from Egg Press features whimsical, bright and bold graphics and a jewel case/stand. It’s worthwhile to note, for the environmentally friendly among us, that it is printed on uncoated FSC certified recycled content paper and printed with soy based inks.

Jonathan Adler ($12.95 at See Jane Work)
There’s much to love about Jonathan Adler’s Palm Beach style. Now you can experience it every day with the Jet Set desk calendar. Travel the world without leaving your desk with these bright and nostalgic little works of art.

The Printery ($75 calendar refill, $95 with easel)
I was recently gifted this beauty of a calendar made by The Printery. Each month features a different engraved motif in gold and the accompanying brass easel (oh I do love brass!) is substantial and warm. I am definitely looking forward to February – and those adorable kissing rabbits!
