Tumblekins Toys Recalled Due to Choking & Laceration Hazards

What do you need to know about this Recall?

These toys can break into small pieces with sharp points, posing potential choking and lacerations hazards to children. This recall involves all Tumblekins toy vehicles and playsets, including the farm playset, fire station, police car, roadster, off-roader, fire truck and school bus. The toys are wooden, painted in bright colors and range from 6 to 12 inches long and 4 to 9 1/2 inches tall. “Tumblekins,” “Made in China” and manufacturing code “171111461502” or “346101461502” are printed on the toys. The item number and UPC are printed on the toy’s packaging. Following are the names, item numbers and UPC codes of the toys that are included in this recall:

  • Farm Playset     T05001  UPC Code 20373050013
  • Police Car          T05002  UPC Code 20373050020
  • Roadster            T05003  UPC Code 20373050037
  • Off-Roader         T05004  UPC Code 20373050044
  • Fire Truck           T05005  UPC Code 20373050051
  • School Bus        T05006  UPC Code 20373050068

Approximately 31,000 of these toys were sold at Juvenile product stores, mass merchandisers and other stores nationwide and on various websites from March 2011 through December 2011 for between $14 and $35 and they were manufactured in China by Lishui Treetoys Trading Co. Ltd. of China.

As of February 16th, 2012, the distributor has received one report of a toy breaking into small pieces and no injuries have yet been reported. Additional and further updated information regarding this recall can be found at the CPSC website.

What should you do if you own any of these products?

Consumer should take the recalled toys away from children immediately and contact International Playthings to receive a free replacement toy.
