Samsung has announced U.S. availability for its first ever kid-friendly tablet. The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition aims to provide an iPad alternative for parents, that focuses on creating a safe online environment for their children.
“The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition is designed to provide a space for children to use technology safely, while also providing them the room to learn, grow, create, stream, and explore,” said Samsung’s Drew Blackard. “Parents can even create profiles for their children and personalize their settings – for a user experience that is loved by kids and trusted by parents.”
How is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ safe for kids?
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition lets parents customize their kids’ online experience. Featuring a preloaded Samsung Kids app, parents can change settings in order to set restrictions on their child’s tablet usage. Screen time limits, specific app restrictions, and monitoring tools are all available, letting parents oversee how their kids spend their time online.
The tablet’s design also accommodates younger users. Its ‘Puffy Cover’ is built of lightweight and shockproof materials, making it more sustainable than other tablets, and it features one of three ‘Crayo-Pen’ styluses along with a built-in stand.
The tablet was previously released in the Philippines earlier this year, with Samsung now introducing it to the U.S. market. With many kids glued to their tablets these days, Samsung is hoping that the A9+ Kids Edition will give parents peace of mind when their children are using the internet.
When is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition release date?
The tablet is available to buy online with in-store options set to be made available on August 11, 2024. If you want to buy it in stores, it’ll be made available in Best Buy and Samsung Experiences stores.
The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids edition can be bought on Amazon for $269.99.
