I’m lucky because my condo was retrofitted to accommodate housing a compact washer/dryer unit inside a small storage cabinet in my kitchen and I love that because it means I don’t need to drag our laundry to a community washing center or drive it to a coin-operated laundromat. However, it also means I don’t have any space left over for any other laundry facilities, like storing cleaning products or line drying delicate items. So I’m always on the hunt for clever space saving items that will help me deal better with laundry demands within a smaller living space.
If I have the time available, I often prefer to line dry items, because I know it helps extend the life of some clothing and it can also help reduce your power bills too. This LOFTi Laundry Drying System is just perfect for almost any installation because it can can be installed over a shower area and pulleyed up and out of the way when not in use. Or you could even install it on an outdoor terrace if you prefer to line dry your clothes outdoors and they have additional pulleys available to order for custom installation needs. And it’s super easy to install too, so if you need help with that, check out this cool installation video here.

Bulky and rigid laundry hampers can be awkward to keep in small living spaces, so that’s why I love this versatile Divided Green Tote. It’s great because you can easily store it on the floor of the closet to use as a divided laundry hamper. And when you empty it on laundry day, it can also be used to carry your laundry cleaning supplies or to gather up toys that have been scattered throughout your home. You already know how I feel about “dual” usage items…..need I say more?
