Just turn to vinegar and apply it to the stained area in a 1 to 3 ratio with water, then rinse and pat dry. OK. So you have no idea what smells, but you just want your whole house smelling like freshly baked cookies instead of a garbage dump! Set your oven to 300 degrees, pour 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract into a glass bowl and heat it in the oven for 20 minutes. That will give you some lead time on finding the source of the odor before you pass out!
