Apps can be amazing tools to help you boost your kids education and they’re also super useful for helping to keep you organized throughout the school year. So whether you’re giving your brain a refresher course in order to help out with homework or just trying to determine if your child’s tummy ache or itchy rash is something that should be seen by a doctor, here are 6 great apps every mom should have in her Back to School survival toolbox.

Here’s another great App that’s absolutely free and it reminds me a little bit of the ad libs we used to put together when we were kids. You’ll love playing SparkleFish with your kids, not only as a learning tool that will help teach them to think quickly on their feet, but it’s also a great game to help pass the time on long car rides or while waiting for appointments, etc. It’s designed for both your iPhone and your iPad, so you can always have it handy when you need it.

Recently there’s been a lot of press given to the subject of how deficient American schools have become in both math and the sciences. The Britannica Kids Apps are a great educational series and one of their newest editions is this Solar System App that makes exploring the secrets of the universe fun. This App makes learning fun, by implementing a variety of games and puzzles that are well illustrated with some amazingly engaging images. It’s a great tool for getting your kids both interested and engaged in exploring the 8 major planets, along with their moons, comets, suns in addition to introducing concepts of gravity and space.
