Ah, family vacations. For some, this phrase causes flashes of the Griswold station wagon and waves of anxiety. With so much baby stuff to lug and a boisterous tiny human by our side, even once easy Labor Day getaways seem like epic events. For baby T’s first family weekend in wine country, we brought way too much baby stuff, worried about naps, and lived through teething for the first time. But we also marveled as we helped T take his first pool dip, spot a baby deer in our backyard, and become a wine country foodie.
