In a 2022 interview with People, Donna Mills spoke about her decision to embrace motherhood in her 50s and said, “I was very concentrated on my career, but at a certain point, I realized there was something missing — it was a child…By that time, I was 54 and people said, ‘You’re going to be so old [to] have a little toddler running around.’…I never felt older than the other mothers who were probably in their 20s.”
Donna and her daughter Chloe are very close to each other and are often seen together in movie premieres. They share a strong mother-daughter bond. The “Knots Landing” star stated that the duo “see each other at least once a week and talk every day or text.”
Chloe Mills Was Adopted at 4 Days Old
Despite being a successful actress and having achieved everything she wanted to, Donna Mills always felt a void in her life. She knew a child would make her life complete. On “The Tamron Hall Show,” she admitted feeling “jealous” whenever she saw a child running to their mother. Her “yearning grew bigger” as she grew older. Hence, she decided to adopt a baby.
It was at 54 years of age when Donna adopted her daughter Chloe. Chloe was born on September 12, 1994, and was adopted when she was just four days old. Donna noted, “She filled everything that I needed…I really feel that she was meant to be with me. She’s my daughter. I’m her mother.”
Donna even took a long hiatus to look after her daughter and be with her. She did do a few TV shows for the first couple of years. However, when Chloe started attending school, she stopped doing shows altogether as she wanted to focus on her child and not her career.
The mother-daughter duo did everything together, from making Halloween costumes to attending games. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chloe Mills stated, “Every activity I did she was there, every show I did, every tennis match…she was always there.”

Chloe Mills is an actress and a model. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall and frequently posts images from swimwear and lingerie shoots on her Instagram. Chloe has also worked as an executive at the members-only Soho House in Malibu, California.
Talking about her love for modeling, Chloe told Entertainment Tonight, “I love being around people and making them happy.”
She has also appeared in several movies, like “Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas” and “Aftermath.” She loves vintage things, and one can often spot her bright blue vintage Ford pickup truck on her social media accounts.
The mother-daughter duo even have a matching tattoo on their wrists to show how much they love each other. Although Chloe suggested getting the tattoo as a “joke,” Donna took it seriously and went ahead with the idea.
