Does Ron DeSantis Have Any Kids?

On Jan. 21, 2024, Ron DeSantis dropped out of the presidential race, quitting ahead of the Republican primary election in New Hampshire. While the Florida Governor was previously considered a strong contender, he was polling in the single digits in New Hampshire and noted that he didn’t “have a clear path to victory” (via BBC).

Ron DeSantis took to X (formerly Twitter), posting a 4-minute 33-second video to notify his supporters that he would be suspending his seven-month-long campaign. Moreover, he also stated that he was endorsing Donald Trump as most Republican voters “want to give Donald Trump another chance.”

Ron DeSantis’ decision leaves Nikki Haley as the last candidate to challenge Donald Trump. Both Haley and Trump acknowledged the Florida Governor, exclaiming that “he’s been a good governor” and is a “really terrific person,” respectively. The former U.S. President also said he looks forward to working with DeSantis to win the general election (via Associated Press).

With Ron DeSantis dropping from the presidential race, supporters are curious about what the future holds for him. Many also want to know more about his family. The governor is married to Casey DeSantis. The couple tied the knot in 2009 at Walt Disney World and have been together for over 14 years.

Ron DeSantis has three kids

Ron and Casey share three kids: Madison, Mason, and Mamie. Ron DeSantis’ youngest, Mamie, was the first baby born in the Governor’s Mansion in about 50 years. The children have actively participated in their parents’ political endeavors. Although their personal lives have been private, the kids have stepped out with their parents for several public events (via People).

Moreover, the Florida Governor dedicated his book “The Courage to Be Free” to his children. The non-fiction book’s dedication reads, “To Madison, Mason, and Mamie: Remember to always listen to your mother.”
