Bridgit Mendler Has Adopted a Child

On Feb. 19, 2024, Bridgit Mendler had a couple of surprises planned for her fanbase as she took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that she would be serving as the CEO of Northwood Space. However, her fans were all the more surprised when she revealed she is now a mom to a little 4-year-old boy (via Daily Mail).

In the tweet, she stated that she had been fostering since 2021 and adopted the baby boy around Christmas in 2022. Bridgit Mendler has been an adoptive parent for over a year and exclaimed that she is “so lucky.” She further noted, “Being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is.”

This was the second big news from the Disney star on Monday, as she made headlines when she announced her space data startup. She has previously noted in an interview that she “fell in love with space law” while working at the Federal Communications Commission’s Space Bureau (via CNBC).

Bridgit Mendler’s husband, Griffin Cleverly, will be the chief technology officer. The couple founded and are building out the startup alongside their head of software, Shaurya Luthra (via CNBC).

The “Good Luck Charlie” star developed the idea during the pandemic. She exclaimed, “While everybody else was making their sourdough starters, we were building antennas out of random cr*p we could find at Home Depot…” (via People).

Fans were pleasantly surprised and proud of the actress-singer when she revealed the news, with many thanking her for “always being the big sister” they could look up to.
