Cardi B shares adorable family photos with new baby and Offset

Cardi B, who has welcomed her new baby, recently shared the news with the world. She called her little one, “the prettiest lil thing,” following it up with her third kid’s birth date. Cardi B didn’t shy away from sharing pictures of breastfeeding her baby. With breastfeeding in public being stigmatized, this move by the singer-rapper helps normalize the act that is the reality of most new mamas.

Moreover, she shared photos with the rest of her family cradling her bundle of joy. Cardi B’s older kids, Kulture and Wave, were also present in the hospital room. In one of the pictures in the Instagram carousel, Kulture cradled her new sibling as the rapper-singer looked on. The new mom had her ex-husband, Offset, in the room as well, with whom she announced her split on July 31.

Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy Carolina, was also in the hospital room, cradling the newborn baby in one of the images. She went on to share on her Instagram story that she is already in love with her new niece.

The “WAP” star’s picture of breastfeeding her baby is a step forward for all new moms. It helps normalize the act of breastfeeding, even when someone is in public. Young moms being shunned for breastfeeding their infants in public places has been a recurring issue. Cardi B not shying away from sharing an image of her newborn latched to her breast exposes many to it, which could help reduce the stigma around breastfeeding in public.
