Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, recently made an appearance at the opening of a local picturesque bookstore on Saturday. Named ‘Godmothers,’ the shop is close to her Montecito home, in Santa Barbara County, California.
While leaving the event after it concluded, Duchess Meghan gave a rare insight into her parenting method. Justifying her quick exit, she said she had to make dinner for her children, Archie and Lilibet. So, it is quite evident that the Duchess of Sussex believes in the hands-on approach when it comes to parenting.
Duchess Meghan makes quick exit from event to be with kids
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan made a prompt exit from a bookstore opening event on Saturday in California. While dashing for the door, she made a comment, stating the reason for her quick leave from there. As reported by Town & Country, the Duchess said, “Wasn’t that incredible?”, describing the event. She then added, “I’ve got to make dinner for the kids.” This comment revealed her hands-on parenting approach towards her children, the 3-year-old Lilibet and the 5-year-old Archie.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, was one of the high-profile figures who were present at the opening of the local bookstore, Godmothers. Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, the literary agent and Victoria Jackson, the well-known cosmetics entrepreneur, launched the bookstore.
At Saturday’s event, the Duchess of Sussex looked elegant as she donned a linen Club Monaco jumpsuit in the color black. She gave a speech at the event as well. According to Town & Country, she expressed her gratitude towards the founders of the bookstore “for not just creating the space, but for holding the space for so many people to feel seen through the pages, either in laughter, in grief, in feeling less alone.”
According to the magazine, Oprah Winfrey headlined Godmothers’ opening event on Saturday. Meanwhile, Prince Harry accompanied Duchess Meghan to the friends and family party for the store the previous day.
