Kim Kardashian has a message for parents raising their kids with dyslexia nearly a year after her daughter North West revealed she suffers from the disorder. The businesswoman shared a few supportive words for fellow parents on an Instagram story – a repost of her friend Lauren Sánchez’s video, discussing her journey with the disorder. Kardashian opened up about her experience as a dyslexic child’s mother.
Kim Kardashian offers support to parents raising kids with learning differences
In one of her recent Instagram stories, Kim Kardashian offered support to parents raising kids with learning differences. The mother-of-four reposted a clip of Lauren Sánchez during her appearance in The View when she talked about her first children’s book. Sánchez, Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, had opened up about battling dyslexia as a child and her initial struggles as a writer because of it. The award-winning journalist also spoke about her journey toward success with the assistance of a professor.
Kim Kardashian’s message was a consolation to Lauren Sánchez and a reassurance to parents of dyslexic children. The SKIMS founder claimed she reposted the video “not bc she [Sánchez]’s my friend and I love her but because every mom who has struggled with their kids with dyslexia or any learning difference needs to hear that it will be okay.” Sánchez then reshared her 43-year-old friend’s post with no words, grateful for her support, with just a praying hand emoji.
Last October, Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West openly talked about her dyslexia diagnosis during a TikTok livestream. Reportedly, 11-year-old North stated, “Guys, I have dyslexia. Do you even know what that is?” Kardashian had responded to the revelation, saying, “Northie, you sure are spilling the tea on here” and ended the livestream because her daughter was “just saying way too much. I purposely don’t talk about stuff that you are going through.”
North West is Kim Kardashian’s oldest child with ex-husband Kanye West.
