Angelina Jolie on Getting Tattoos With Kids & What They Mean

In a recent interview with CR Fashion Book, Angelina Jolie opened up about how her life has changed after motherhood and getting tattoos with her kids. The actress also touched upon the valuable lessons she has learned from her little ones. Angelina Jolie’s parenting is unique, as she often refers to her children as her close friends. She also cherishes their different personalities and considers it their biggest strength.

Angelina Jolie reveals the tattoos she got with her kids

Angelina Jolie discussed the joys of parenting in her new interview with CR Fashion Book, published on September 20. When asked about lessons her children have taught her, the actress-filmmaker noted that there were “too many to count or name just one.” However, Jolie stated that she never prioritized herself after welcoming a child because they became the center of her world.

During the interview, Angelina Jolie also revealed several matching tattoos she got with her kids. She shares “Stay Gold” with her daughter Vivienne Jolie. The 16-year-old got the tattoo with her mom while working together on “The Outsiders.” The ink doesn’t simply hold meaning to them as a pair but is also significant to them as individuals.

“Stay Gold” refers to a track from the Broadway musical. The 49-year-old actress debuted the tattoo in April on the opening night of “The Outsiders.” The new ink appears on her wrist, among several others she has been sporting for quite some time. Other than “Stay Gold,” Angelina Jolie also shares a bird tattoo with some of her kids. Although she didn’t share which of her children she shares the tattoo with, she stated that the true meaning of it was personal to them.

The “Maleficent” star is well-known for sharing a close relationship with her little ones. Last year, she told the Wall Street Journal that her children are the “closest people” to her. While they are very different individuals, it makes them all the more special.
