Olivia Munn‘s journey since her breast cancer diagnosis has been difficult and packed with surgeries. However, her recent Instagram post is a warm ray of sunshine and hope as she and her husband welcome their second child via surrogacy. She announced that their baby girl’s name was Méi June Mulaney. Moreover, Méi was born on September 14, 2024, “the year of the dragon.”

In a heartfelt caption, Munn revealed, “I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter.” The “X-Men: Apocolypse” actress recalled the time when she “first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother.” She then went on to call the surrogate mother a “real-life angel” for showing her “so much grace and understanding.” She continued, “Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.”

Olivia Munn said, “I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us.” She seemed certain that her “heart has exploded” before revealing that her daughter’s name Méi, which is pronounced may, “means plum in Chinese 梅?”

Munn’s Instagram announcement comprised pictures of her complete family. In the first picture, taken in a hospital, she and her husband, John Mulaney, held their newborn daughter. The second photo showed a closeup of the baby, and the following one included the new mother holding her baby girl. The last image was a loved-up family portrait as the couple posed on a sea-facing balcony with their two children.

Olivia Munn was diagnosed with cancer last year. The actress has since undergone five surgeries, which she shared in an Instagram post in May. The final one was an oophorectomy and a hysterectomy took place earlier this year. The actress has actively shared her journey and the progress she and her family have made over the months.
