Olivia Munn admitted to recently freezing her eggs after breast cancer diagnosis in hopes of having a daughter. The actor detailed her latest attempt at securing girl embryos as she was unable to carry her own child, as reported by U.S. Weekly. Munn and her husband John Mulaney, who share a son, ultimately welcomed a daughter via surrogacy on September 14.

The mother of two claimed she had always wanted a daughter with Mulaney. She recalled telling the comedian, “I won’t feel good until we get two more [embryos that are girls] so I need you to just be on my side and let me go through this.” She revealed making the decision even though she was putting herself at “risk.”

The outlet stated that Olivia Munn acknowledged freezing her eggs at 42 while battling breast cancer. Moreover, she said her husband was willing to support her. The “X-Men Apocolypse” actor then detailed the day they received the good news. She said, “We got home that day and the doctor said, ‘I got the results back, and it’s the dream. You have two healthy baby girl embryos.'” Fast forward to the present, Munn and Mulaney now have a daughter, their second child, Méi June.

Olivia Munn previously shared a post on her Instagram welcoming their daughter and has since posted multiple updates. In a recent video, she struggles to use a baby wrap on the infant. Munn also announced undergoing her fifth and final surgery, an oophorectomy and a hysterectomy, earlier this year. She claims to be on her path to recovery now.
