Amy Schumer Mocks Herself After Halloween Costume Shopping Goes Wrong

Amy Schumer mocks her own failed attempt at buying a bird Halloween costume for her five-year-old son. Schumer could barely hold back laughter in the recent Instagram video she dropped, detailing the funny experience. She revealed ordering a bird costume, which initially seemed like an interesting Halloween idea until the shopping part went wrong.

Amy Schumer’s bird Halloween costume for son is not what you’d expect

Amy Schumer revealed the end result of her son’s Halloween costume and it is far from what she expected. In the video, Schumer said she ordered a bird costume for her five-year-old son Gene. She then revealed her shopping failure, claiming she accidentally received a giant bird head instead.

First, the mother-of-one addressed her followers, “Hi, hope you’re having a great weekend,” before letting them in on the chucklesome debacle. Besides, the mascot head does seem like one of the most amusing Halloween costume ideas exclusively for adults.

After showing the giant mascot head to the camera, Amy Schumer jokingly put it on her head to show her Halloween costume failure. She then quipped about being “a totally fit parent,” asking followers if they need her “to homeschool their kid.” Instagram users left a few funny comments with a person writing, “You ordered a bird costume and got a MAGNIFICENT bird costume!!” Another pointed out how the costume “looks like it would eat Gene whole.”

Amy Schumer welcomed her son Gene with her husband Chris Fischer in 2019. Earlier this year, Schumer shared that a toddler sleep consultant helped their son, then 4, adopt a proper “bedtime routine,” as reported by People Magazine. Additionally, she revealed Gene had started sleeping “3 hours earlier” and that she and Fischer have their “nights back.” The comedian also stated that she is now trying to “pass on the info that helped us.”
