Nick Cannon opens up about parenting teenage twins with ex-wife Mariah Carey
While on “The Talk,” Nick Cannon candidly opened up about parenting his and ex-wife Mariah Carey’s twins — son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. He admitted that it is difficult to raise teenagers. Although he can manage his son, when it comes to Monroe, he finds himself in tricky situations.
Cannon revealed that he finds it easier to “handle” his son since “he is so much like me.” However, it is not the same when it comes to his daughter. He said, “She’s like, wearing make-up and taking two hours in the bathroom. Like what are you doing in there!” The comedian also opened up about how much his daughter is growing and evolving to become a young woman. He finds it quite “scary” as he can not do anything to “stop it.”
On the show, Nick Cannon also revealed Monroe’s love for makeup. He humorously said, “She [Monroe] lives at Sephora!” Cannon also shared his experience of patiently standing outside the store for more than an hour, while his daughter was shopping for beauty products. However, he mentioned that Monroe takes longer while shopping with her friends at Sephora. Nick Cannon also hilariously compared the cosmetics store to a confusing “maze” and that he doesn’t understand “how the store works at all.”
