Victoria Beckham speaks on navigating fame with kids
Anna Wintour had a few detailed motherhood and parenting-related questions for Victoria Beckham. Beckham had been talking about her kids and how proud she was of them backstage, which led Wintour to curiously question how she managed to navigate her children growing up in the public eye. Vogue’s editor-in-chief further emphasized that it “must have caused you [Beckham] some concern at some point” because being a mother is a full-time role.
Before anything else, Beckham exclaimed that “being a mother is my most important role and what I am most proud of.” She shared that, for her, it has always been about ensuring that “we’re a very close family.” The 50-year-old then added how “it’s all about communication” and that they “talk all the time.” She disclosed that her children have always had “this safe space” where they can freely “talk about anything.”
Victoria Beckham shared another parenting tip that her and David Beckham’s “parents have always been very involved” with the kids. She revealed that they took part in “bringing the children up as well.” The mother-of-four later described her kids as “very sweet, kind, funny, humble, hardworking, driven young people.” She also talked about the compliments her children receive about being “nice” and “humble” every time someone new meets them.
David and Victoria Beckham shared four children, namely Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. Their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 25, who is married to Nicola Peltz, has been involved in acting, modeling, and designing. Romeo Beckham, 22, played soccer the Fort Lauderdale CF before retiring recently. Meanwhile, Cruz Beckham, 19, has been involved in the music scene. Finally, Harper Beckham turned 13 earlier this year and often steps out with her parents.
