Angelina Jolie recently appeared on “Good Morning America” and spoke about her role as Maria Callas. During the segment, the 49-year-old was asked if there is anything in her life that compared to the opera star’s love for singing. Jolie replied, “My motherhood. It’s my happiness.” She further noted, “You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters.”

Jolie is the mother of six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. The actor’s eldest, Maddox and Pax, also worked with their mother behind the scenes on “Maria.” During the “Good Morning America” segment, Jolie was also asked if the kids “got the bug for the business.” The star revealed, “None of my children want to be in front of the camera at this time.” Jolie added they are “quite private,” especially her daughter Shiloh, who is “extremely private.”

Jolie explained that her children “weren’t born with privacy.” However, the actor said she hopes they can have that as they grow older. Jolie further recalled it was “amazing” to have her boys on the set of “Maria.” She also joked, “All of my children suffered through my early opera singing in the house before I got kind of good.” Jolie jokingly added, “Which was a nightmare.”

Previously, during an interview with Extra, Jolie recalled the moment she cried in front of her kids while filming “Maria.” She shared, “They saw me learn how to sing, they saw me practice, they saw me nervous.” Jolie further recalled, “They were there the first time I had to do it and I was terrified, and they were there when I broke down crying.”
