Toddler’s unfiltered reaction to disability ad at a store is winning hearts online
In the video posted by a TikTok user named erbruhhspiz, a cute toddler wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue trousers is seen moving in a wheelchair. The toddler is in a clothing store shopping with someone, supposedly his mom, capturing the adorable moment.
As seen in the clip, the toddler moves ahead to see an ad poster of a disabled child kept above the rack of clothes. While the child admires the ad and begins pointing towards it, the woman asks about the reason for his smile. The toddler points towards the ad and says it is just like him. In the ad, a little girl dressed in fashionable pink clothes is sitting in a wheelchair.
This video garnered over five million likes, with around 35k comments. Users went on to pour some adorable and heartwarming comments on the video. One user stated, “So sweet! Representation matters.” Another one mentioned a Bernice King quote, “If you don’t think representation matters, you are probably well represented”. One more wrote, “THIS is diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
Additionally, Barbie’s account dropped a comment on how “Representation truly matters”, to which the creator, EJ, replied that they love their Barbie wheelchair. Further, Dove Beauty and Personal Care felt equally proud of the representation.
