11 Awesome Candy Alternatives for Easter Baskets

It’s hard to think of Easter without also thinking about all of the goodies the Easter Bunny will bring. Every year, we go to our city’s big egg hunt on Saturday, then host a neighborhood hunt with our friends. By the end of that two-day egg-travaganza (See what I did there?) we’re up to our eyeballs in candy. You know I live for sweets, but I also think a little goes a long way. If you’re feeling the “less is more” vibe when it comes to kids and candy like I am, then you’ll love these sugar-free, totally sweet treats. Fill up a basket with these finds, and the kids will be like, “Candy schmandy.”

These ultra-huggable knit bunny dolls are as covetable as a few bunny tattoos and stickers. And, no Easter would be complete without a ribbon-adorned straw hat, pretty barrettes, or polka dot bow tie, am I right? The big kids will love color blocked aviator shades or a painterly key chain clutch, and the littles can do a little word play with a three-letter word spinner. The whole group can create tons of crafts with colorful, patterned duct tape. I see a new colorful wallet in Dad’s future.
