Sia Reveals She Adopted Two Boys Who Were About to Age Out of Foster Care

Sia recently revealed that she adopted two boys last year.

On an episode of SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, the 44-year-old singer confirmed that she adopted two 18-year-old boys who were aging out of foster care in 2019.

“I actually adopted two sons last year. They were both 18 — they’re both 19 years old now,” the singer said. “They were aging out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them.”

That’s pretty awesome of her. Those boys needed a home, and she had one to provide.

The pop star went on to share how life has been for the family amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, sharing how one of her sons has been having a little bit of difficulty adjusting to life at home without seeing friends or being able to go out.

“They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other. But they’re both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them,” she said.

Sia first addressed becoming a parent coupled with having a love interest in a GQ article published earlier this year, in which she said she isn’t looking for a serious relationship with anyone.

In an interview for a profile on Diplo, the “Cheap Thrills” songstress briefly mentioned during a discussion of her relationship with the DJ that she had adopted her first son.

“This year I wrote him a text, and I said, ‘Hey, listen, you’re like one of five people that I’m sexually attracted to, and now that I’ve decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don’t have time for a relationship,’” she said.

“‘If you’re interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up.’”

She didn’t reveal whether Diplo took her up on the offer or not!
