6 Ways To Involve Your Kids at Your Wedding

Are you getting married and looking for ways to involve your kids in your wedding ceremony? Involving your little one in your wedding is a great idea to make them feel special and loved. Plus, your kiddos will be thrilled to be part of something beautiful. Here are a few tips to consider before making them a part of your special day, thus keeping them occupied and preventing them from feeling left out.

1. Give them the role of wedding planners

Be it cake tasting, wedding dress shopping, or any other wedding-related shopping, take your kids along. They will be delighted to help you choose the best dress for your big day. However, if your older kids are not keen on tagging along, you can assign them other tasks per their interests. Ask for their help designing a wedding website, scouting local restaurants for catering, sending invites, etc.

2. Let them decide their dress

If your daughter wants to wear a princess gown or your little man wants to dress up in a loose shirt and jeans, let them wear it. They are as excited as you are for the wedding day and want to look their best.

So, let them decide whether or not their outfit matches your theme. Letting your kids determine their complete look, from hair and makeup to accessories, would be best. This will make them super happy and feel respected for their choices, making them less fussy about the clothing on the wedding day.

3. Make them in charge of the kids’ menu

Your little ones are the best people to decide on the kids’ menu for the wedding. Discuss what they want on their table, ask them to write the menu, take them for tasting, and let them finalize it. You can even ask for their suggestion regarding the decor, the kids’ table layout, ideas for the kids’ corner, etc. This way, they will genuinely feel like a part of your wedding planning, and it will also allow them to show their creative side.

4. Make DIY crafts with them

This is a perfect way to involve your kids at your wedding. Be it preparing the welcome basket, packing the favors for the guests, writing place cards, stamping envelopes, or other little projects, take the help of your children to get the job done and have fun along the way.

5. Ask them to show their skills

Nothing makes kids happier than showing off their skills to the ones they love. So, ask them to prepare a dance for your wedding day, sing a song, or play any musical instrument to make the event even more special for you and your little one.

6. Walk down the aisle with them

Nothing is more beautiful than walking down the aisle with your munchkin on the side. Instead of giving them the role of ring bearer or flower girl, ask them to walk along the aisle with you. You can even have them stand beside you during the vows to share this incredibly sentimental moment.

A wedding is one of the most significant days of your life, so make it even more memorable by involving your kids at your wedding!
