DIY Ring Toss Game

DIY: Ring Toss Game

Materials:

  • plastic animals
  • drill
  • rope
  • spray paint
  • strong glue
  • dowel rods
  • duct tape
  • platform (mine was a wood circle from the craft store)

Instructions:

Step 1: Get brave and drill your holes! Pick the spot in the center of the back and go for it. Be sure not to make the holes too big—you want the dowel rod to fit snuggly.

Step 2: Glue the dowel rods in place.

Step 3: Tape up the platform to get it ready to paint. I went with stripes, but you can do whatever you want!

Step 4: Paint! I like to spray paint things inside a cardboard box to keep the paint and fumes more contained.

Step 5: While the paint is drying, let’s make the rings! Cut equal lengths of rope and grab the duct tape.

Step 6: Cut lengths of duct tape and wrap it around the rope. Before you wrap it all the way make sure you connect the two ends of the rope and wrap duct tape around the ends to create the ring.

Step 7: Once all the paint is dry, glue the animals down to the platform, wait for the glue to dry and you’re ready to play!
