Materials
- Crayons (broken or new)
- Microwave or oven-safe silicone heart mold
- Kitchen knife
- Cutting board
- Paper towels (optional)
Procedure
- To make this DIY heart-shaped crayon, start by deciding on crayon colors. You can mix two complementary or similar colors for each heart-shaped crayon.
- Keep the assorted colors together to avoid mixing up while working on this DIY heart-shaped crayon.
- Peel the paper wrapping off of the crayons. If you are using broken crayons, remove any dirt that might have stuck to its surface. Having a clean crayon before you start working on this DIY project would be best.
- With the help of a sharp kitchen knife, chop the crayons into approximately ¼-inch pieces.
- Fill the heart-shaped molds with the chopped crayons. You will need 2-3 crayons per cup.
